Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about importing a car from China.

General

What is DriveSino?

DriveSino is a global marketplace specializing in the export of pre-owned vehicles from China. We source, inspect, and ship cars — including electric vehicles, hybrids, and petrol cars — to buyers in over 80 countries worldwide.

Which countries do you ship to?

We ship to over 80 countries including all of Africa (West, East, North, South), the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, South Asia, Europe, and Latin America. Contact us to confirm for your specific country.

What types of vehicles do you offer?

We list petrol, hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and full electric vehicles. Our inventory includes Chinese domestic brands (BYD, NIO, Li Auto, XPENG) as well as international brands sold in China (Toyota, Honda, Volkswagen, BMW, etc.).

Pricing & Payment

What does the listed price include?

All prices are quoted FOB (Free on Board) the Chinese export port. This means the price covers the vehicle and loading onto the vessel at the Chinese port. Shipping, insurance, and import duties are not included.

Can I negotiate the price?

Yes, prices are negotiable especially for bulk orders or if you're purchasing multiple vehicles. Contact us via the inquiry form or WhatsApp to discuss pricing.

How do I pay?

We accept international bank transfers (T/T - Telegraphic Transfer). No online payments are processed through the website. A formal sales contract is provided before payment.

Is there a deposit required?

Yes, typically a deposit of 20–30% of the vehicle price is required to hold the vehicle and initiate the export process. The balance is due before shipment.

Vehicles & Inspection

Are the vehicles inspected before sale?

Yes, all listed vehicles undergo a multi-point inspection covering mechanical condition, bodywork, interior, electrical systems, and mileage verification. Inspection reports are available on request.

Do you sell accident-damaged or salvage vehicles?

No. We do not list vehicles with major accident histories or salvage titles. All our vehicles are clean-titled and meet our quality standards.

Can I request additional photos or videos?

Absolutely. Contact us via the inquiry form or WhatsApp and we will provide additional photos, videos, or even a live video walk-around of any vehicle.

Can I have an independent inspector check the vehicle?

Yes, we welcome third-party inspections. We can coordinate access for your chosen inspection company at the vehicle's location in China.

Shipping & Logistics

How long does shipping take?

Transit times vary by destination. Typical ranges: West Africa 20–28 days, Middle East 12–18 days, Southeast Asia 7–14 days, Europe 25–35 days, Americas 30–45 days.

What shipping methods are available?

We offer RoRo (Roll-on/Roll-off) shipping for most standard vehicles, and container shipping for higher-value vehicles or when the buyer prefers added protection.

Do you provide shipping insurance?

Marine cargo insurance can be arranged. We strongly recommend insuring your vehicle during transit. Ask your account manager for insurance options.

Do you handle customs at the destination?

We handle all export documentation from China. Import customs clearance at your destination is the buyer's responsibility. We can provide all necessary documents and refer you to clearing agents in your country.

Electric & Hybrid Vehicles

Are Chinese EV batteries in good condition?

Yes, all EVs listed undergo battery health checks as part of our inspection process. We report the State of Health (SoH) percentage. Most vehicles have batteries at 85–95% capacity.

What charging standards do Chinese EVs use?

Most Chinese EVs use the GB/T charging standard for AC and DC charging in China. However, many models are now equipped with or can be adapted to CCS2 or Type 2 charging connectors. Confirm compatibility with your local charging infrastructure before purchasing.

Can Chinese EVs be registered in my country?

This depends on your country's regulations. Many countries now accept Chinese EVs. We can provide the necessary technical documents for type approval. Contact us for specific country guidance.
