RoRo vs container shipping — which should I choose?

RoRo (Roll-on/Roll-off) shipping is the most common method for importing vehicles from China. Your car is driven directly onto the vessel at the Chinese port and driven off at the destination. RoRo is generally more affordable for single vehicles and has faster loading times. It's ideal for standard passenger cars and SUVs.

Container shipping involves loading your vehicle into a 20ft or 40ft shipping container. It offers better protection from elements and damage, is more secure (sealed container), and allows you to ship personal effects inside the vehicle. It's recommended for high-value vehicles, luxury cars, or when shipping multiple vehicles (up to 4 cars in a 40ft container).

DriveSino offers both options. For most standard imports (Haval, Geely, BYD, Changan), RoRo is cost-effective and reliable. For multi-car dealer orders or premium vehicles, container shipping is recommended.
