Required Export Documents
Certificate of Deregistration (export certificate) — proves the vehicle has been removed from Japan's registration system, Bill of Lading — issued by the shipping line, Commercial Invoice — showing transaction value and vehicle details, and Export Customs Declaration — filed through Japan's customs system. DriveSino handles all documentation for every vehicle.
Vehicle Eligibility
Vehicle must be legally registered in Japan with clean title. No outstanding loans or encumbrances. Must pass Japan's export inspection requirements. Vehicle age must comply with your destination country's import restrictions.
Destination Country Rules
Check your country's: used car import age limit, steering configuration legality (RHD vs LHD), emissions standards, safety regulations, and duty rates. For JDM performance cars, the USA enforces a 25-year import rule. See our JDM export guide for details.
